Homeroom
Besides everyday teaching activities, I planned and lead the literacy and math stations with small groups of mostly EAL students and students that needed additional support. The focus was on managing the difference in abilities and tailoring activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating the less skilled ones. Planning and grading meaningful homework, recording formative and summative assessments, keeping students' portfolios, and writing detailed lesson plans and report card comments have been on the list of my duties as well.
Outside the classroom, I have been involved in many school-related assignments and committees.
I instructed various ASAs, such as Magazine Design, Yearbook Team, Mini Olympics, etc.
I have also participated in planning and organizing grade level assemblies, School Winter Shows, Variety (Talent) Shows, Sports Days, Sports Tournaments, and many other student-centered events.
I have completed various professional development workshops and obtained teaching competency certificates. These courses helped me learn a lot about differentiated and inquiry-based teaching. The acquired knowledge helps me to efficiently plan and manage my lessons.
